LASIMM consortium gathers in Pamplona for the fifth project meeting
On the past 25th and 26th of November 2018, the 5th LASIMM consortium meeting took place at Loxin’s facilities, in Spain.
The LASIMM project, which aims to develop a large scale and flexible all-in-one hybrid machine, with both additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies, entered its final year. The meeting was a great opportunity for the partners to access the work developed until then and to evaluate the strategy for the project’s final year, towards assuring that the project goals are met.
Besides the meeting, the partners had the chance to see the machine fully assembled. LASIMM will now start the trial runs, with a view to demonstrating its full capabilities until the end of the project. This gave the consortium a great sense of achievement as well as an incentive for the work still needed to be done on the third and last year of the project.
